Reflection of Women's Development in Africa Project

In school, we worked on a project based on either Africa or Asia. My group chose this topic: women’s role in the development of Africa. About myself, I learned that I do NOT have good planning skills, and that I can get distracted easily.
At the beginning of the project, we were required to plan out what we were doing on  calendar. We had about three weeks to finish the project, and we planned to film the weekend before the week it was due. We had finished everything else we need to finish before filming a week ahead, so we just sat around in class reading the script. Then, the day came that we needed to film. But when we filmed, we weren’t able to finish, so we had to rush to finish in time. All of that stress could have been prevented just by filming earlier.
Also, I learned that I work well in a group. I like to get off topic, and I will get bored when I have to do the same thing over and over, even if it is something that I would normally enjoy. This wasn’t helpful when my group and I decided to take notes for the first four days of our project. So, eventually I started to chat about things that didn’t apply to what needed to be done. Luckily, everyone in my group helped to keep everyone else on task, and we finished taking notes faster than what it would have taken us if we had been off-topic.
The most challenging part of creating this project is filming. Since our story took place in africa, the costumes mattered (our project was a short movie), the props mattered, and the background mattered. So we had to keep track of those things. Sometimes, the scene would be long, so it was also harder to memorize our lines. But, we (eventually) got the job done.

I think my group and I made a good project. We worked hard and produced a good movie. I am looking forward to the next time I will get to make another project like this.
These women in Africa are running a small business to earn money for their families.
