I think the most interesting thing I have learned so far in Globalization and Trade is that many companies choose to produce their goods in less developed countries. These countries generally have very low pay wages. I find this interesting because I don’t think it is worthwhile to move whole factories from place to place, and it isn’t fair to the workers, as well. Because, after a while, the country will become developed and the minimum wage will rise, so the company will have to move again. Also, the people taking jobs with very low pay must be desperate for money, so when the company’ s factory moves, they will be out of a job.
My sketchnotes on this topic were, according to me, my best so far. I think my best part were the graphics, since I have included more of them and tried to incorporate text into them, instead of the other way around. I am especially proud of my handshake, which represents trade agreements between countries, therefore creating peace between them, as well.
